Choreography (Direction of Sports Dance ) was approved in 2009 and started to recruit students in the same year. At present, five sessions of college graduates have been trained. This major has a flexible academic system with a basic schooling system of 4 years. Students can complete their studies within 3-7 years. Graduates who meet the requirements of the Degree Ordinance are awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Choreography is to cultivate the innovative talents with the modern sports dance, the healthy idea and innovative spirit. They can systematically master the basic theory, the basic skill and the basic method of the sports dance and the sports fitness. Besides, they have strong ability of sports dance performance, creation, sports dance training, performance, teaching and training and social fitness guidance. Furthermore, they can competent in sports dance performance, creation and teaching.

Professional requirements: establish the sense of mission and innovative spirit of sports dance professional, have strong practical ability of sports dance, self-learning ability, social adaptability, understand the rules of sports dance and mass fitness, master the basic theory, basic skills and methods of sports dance performance, creation, teaching and training and fitness instruction, understand the development direction and frontier trends of sports dance, and have the ability to initially carry out sports dance training and create scientific research, have a high level of sports dance training, master the modern sports dance creation techniques and teaching guidance methods, have the ability to independently conduct special teaching of sports dance, organize sports dance performances, and guide the mass fitness and innovation.
