On the afternoon of January 2nd, vice president Zhang Baoming was accompanied by Yang Guoan the director of Social Science Research Department, Zhan Long deputy director of Social Science Research Department, and other leaders to investigate the application for projects supported by National Social Science Foundation of China in 2018. The Secretary of the Party Committee Yang Jun, the Dean Zhang Dachao and other leading teachers of our school attended the meeting, and the conference was chaired by Zhang Dachao.

Zhang Dachao firstly introduced the achievements and measures taken by the college in application for projects supported by National Social Science Foundation of China in recent years. He pointed out that the past three years we had won 8 projects supported by National Social Science Foundation of China, including 2  in 2015, 3  in 2016, 3  in 2017, and in the top of the National Colleges of the same kind. The achievements were due to the leadership of the university and the efforts of the whole faculty, and incentive measures of the project application were introduced.

The teachers of Peng Jinzhou, Zhao Jianqiang, Lin Xin Mao, Shi Youkuan, Zhou Ke and Tian Jian spoke respectively. They put forward their respective efforts to make scientific research become the habit and consciousness of every teacher, and make good use of the good platform of "double first-class" of Henan University to strengthen foreign exchange and broaden the academic field of view. It was expected that the university would invest more resources to improve the teaching and research environment of the School of Physical Education, and make suggestions for the early funding of teachers who have not supported by National Social Science Foundation of China.

Zhang Baoming made a summary statement. First, vice president Zhang fully affirmed the achievements of the School of Physical Education in recent years, and then pointed out that we should continue to encourage more teachers to apply actively, and the content should be of the times, such as Xi Jinping's sports thought for a new era referred to application guide of national social science foundation, and encourage teachers to apply interdisciplinary. He said that the following we would respond positively to the demands of teachers and create better conditions for teachers' work and life as much as possible.
