The Golden Chicken is old, and the jade dog welcomes the new spring. In the afternoon of January 19th, with the fragrance of tea and fruit, and a happy atmosphere，the 2018 Spring Festival gathering was held in the multi-functional hall of the Ming Lun campus teaching and labor center. The leading group and the staff of the school gathered together to celebrate the new spring. The group celebration of the new year was hosted by Jia Tianming, deputy secretary of the Party committee in the school.

Yang Jun, the Secretary of the Party committee in the school, made a speech at the gathering, reviewed the main work of the school in the past year. He pointed out that 2017 was an extraordinary year in the course of the development of our university and our school. The university participated in the country’s construction plan of “world-class universities and first-class disciplines ". The school returned to the "National team" and was approved as the first-level doctor's degree awarding units in physical education. All of the good news will inspire all the faculty and staff to forge ahead and work together to write a new chapter in the reform and development of the school. On behalf of the school party and political leaders, Yang extended greetings and festivals wishes to retired teachers and faculty members.

All kinds of programs performed by teachers at the ceremony were wonderful and extraordinary. The chorus brought by teaching and research sections of sports science, track and field, football, volleyball, or martial arts were solemn or enthusiastic. The poetry recitation of "sports ode", "Henan University, where are you?" brought by teaching and research sections of sports humanities and small ball teaching research room were sincere. The group dance “Concentric Synchronized Year of the Dog” brought by teaching and research section of the gymnastics were warmly welcomed by the audience. In the game section, the exaggerated performance of the teachers was very funny. The celebration also set up the lucky draw, the prize was rich and various in kind; the scene was lively and extraordinary. The 2018 Chinese New Year celebration came to an end with laughter.
