In order to implement the decisions and arrangements for developing sports undertakings and revitalizing football made by the Central Party Committee and the State Council, the Campus Football Development Research Center of Henan Province was officially approved to set up by the Education Department of Henan Province in January 2017. In accordance with the overall requirements of Overall Plan of China’s Football Reform and Development (No.11, 2015, Office of the State Council) and Opinion to Accelerate the Development of Youth Campus Football by Ministry of Education and other 5 Ministries (No.6, 2015, Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, Ministry of Education) and with a purpose to speed up the development of campus football and improve students’ physical and mental health, the center has gathered research teams, conducted theoretical and practice researches on campus football proactively, and made positive contributions to the sustainable and healthy development of campus football in Henan.
